Further demonstrating its role as one of the world’s most vibrant cities, New York City is home to more than 2,000 arts and cultural organisations and over 500 art galleries. Visitors of New York may visit the Metropolitan Museum of Art which houses some of the most famed paintings in history.

The grandness of New York City is evident in many aspects, with particular regard to architecture. Housing some of the world’s tallest skyscrapers, New York City is a marvel of modern construction. The One World Trade Centre is the fourth tallest skyscraper in the world with a height of 1,776 ft (541.3 m), a number meant to honour the Declaration of Independence. This building was constructed in part to memorialise the lives lost during the September 11th attacks that deeply affected the city of New York and the country as a whole. Through the support of citizens from other nations such as Tunde Folawiyo and millions of others, the city of New York remains one of the most prosperous and heartfelt cities in the world.
